Marist College Ashgrove, innovating how they use OTG Solution
Marist College Ashgrove has been a part of the MonitorBM family of customers for five years now, with them now extending their solutions with us, adding On-the-Go. Based in Brisbane Australia, Marist is a catholic school for boys years 5-12 boasting over 1600 students, 170 of which are boarders.
The team at Marist were supplied with 8 On-the-go (OTG) handheld devices which they have found a number of ways to use and are positive about future possibilities to get the most out of their return on the hardware investment.
Some of the ways they are using these devices are for charity days, staff attendance, and fun run attendance and record. Marist has 8 school houses and on charity days they have house stalls within their quad and sell goods. Each product is loaded into the OTG device with a cost and students can simply scan their student card to purchase the item. Another way the OTG units are being used is for Staff attendance to the compulsorily Monday meeting, paired with our Insight reporting tool, the report of who was/was not in attendance is then automatically sent to admin staff and the principal. Finally, the OTG unit alongside the fun runs Marist do act as a safety/attendance register. Students swipe in and out of the run and a report of which students who didn’t swipe back on return can be seen in real-time, again using the Insight reporting tool.
Other MonitorBM solutions at Marist College include Monitor Print on 26 Toshiba models throughout campus as well as in their large print production room. iPOS within their uniform shop, 14 lane canteen and sport pavilion café. My Monitor to handle online accounts for each of the students & staff and the ability to top-up online. Monitor Online Ordering to handle their uniform shop orders which has live stock control and is connected to the iPOS solution.
We look forward to seeing other ways Marist College uses our OTG and other solutions in the future. Having our modular solutions gives this and other schools great future-proofing confidence.
