IDPort Reader
Introducing the Monitor IDPort USB Network Identification Reader
The IDPort is a clever little unit that tidies, sorts and configures data captured from almost any kind of USB-connected reader. Anything from swipe and proximity cards to biometric readers are accepted by the IDPort. With four USB slots, the IDPort can take multiple readers at once.
Before the IDPort, card readers sent their raw data directly to your server, which then had to decode and process that data before the user could be validated.
Now, the IDPort quickly massages the data as itβs received before presenting it to the server in a much more digestible format.
Itβs all about making things easier and faster
The IDPort is small enough (94mmx65mmx27mm) to sit or stick anywhere you want.
How you use the IDPort is up to you
The simplest way to use the IDPort is for basic validation. It can talk to remote terminals on the network to authorise entrance into reserved rooms, user authorisation at printers, or attendance.
The IDPort can also be used as a terminal with Supervisor Net. It is essentially a mini computer without a screen, meaning all user data can be captured as transactions and processed as soon as the card is swiped.
Connected
The IDPort is a computer in its own right, complete with IP address. It connects to your network through WiFi or ethernet cable and can be easily configured through a web- based application.
