Changes to Monitor Web Print

Monitor Web Print gets a makeover.

Monitor Web Print has recently undergone a facelift to be even more user-friendly than before.

From an administrator’s point of view, a ‘Cloud Queue’ is now used when users submit their print jobs. The cloud queue is visible across the entire site and to make it simple to install, there are no configuration requirements. Jobs sitting in this queue can be released at any print release station or terminal on site.

Administrators also have the ability to enforce colour restrictions on users based upon a user’s price code in Supervisor Net. If the user is not allowed to print in colour then all their jobs will be converted to black and white and will not display a colour option.

Users of Monitor Web Print will also find a much more seamless experience when uploading and submitting print jobs. Previous versions of Web Print made users select their location when they logged in. The latest version allows users to log in, submit print jobs, change the job attributes and then when they submit the print job(s), they are then asked to set their site, location and printer.

Job attributes can now be changed after they have been submitted to the system. These include:

  • One-Sided/Two-Sided
  • Colour/Black and White
  • Page Range
  • Sheets in a spreadsheet
