Monitor BM now supports Spydus native API integration

We here at MonitorBM are excited to let our library customers know that we now support Spydus Native API intergration alongside our previously developed SirsiDynx.

Having Monitor API integration into your Library Management System will deliver huge benefits for the customer experience. Having a system that enabled Members can manage all of their payment transactions in the one place will streamline not only the user experience but also the staff resourcing involved in those transactions. The integration also allows for a seamless interface that encourages easy self-service for access to computers, copying and printing – freeing up valuable staff time.

The Monitor BM library expense management solution when used in conjunction with the Spydus API, now allows your patrons to:

• Login directly to kiosks, printers , computers and other Monitor touchpoint with their Spydus credentials.
• Pay their fees & fines online or using on-site monitor kiosks as a self-service operation where each fine can be paid individually
• Pay their fees & fines even though they may have a barred account in the Spydus LMS. Their barred account precludes them from logging onto a PC; but they can still pay their fines which will unbar their account automatically after payment without any staff intervention

The enhanced API interface delivers the following key benefits to your library:

• The patrons’ card number will automatically be updated in the MonitorBM system should it change in the LMS, eg. replacing a lost card. This is performed without any staff intervention on the MonitorBM system
• The MonitorBM system can retrieve user group categories eg. Adults, kids etc. These are applied PC user groups delivering a different experience with different business rules to PC’s based on the patron’s user category
