Supervisor Net suite version 8.2.8 has been released
We’re happy to announce the release of version 8.2.8 of the Supervisor Net suite of products.
In this release, we address issues found in the field as well as the addition of several features such as:
- Supporting the returning of different validation states (OK, Locked, Fees and Fines payments only) to Express (version 8.2.8) and My Monitor (Upcoming 8.1.4 version) for library management systems using native APIs
- New mobile device visitors to Online Ordering will be presented with a helpful message advising them how to add the site as an icon to their home screen
- Items can be marked as out of stock, even if they are not a normally stocked item
- Direct URL links to shops and shop groups can now be created
A complete list of changes is as follows:

systems using native APIs
[Change] #14965 The display of the Print Workstation information in Print
Administrator had been temporarily disabled for a particular huge site, where
the application did not behave with the number of print workstations that they
had connected. This has now been re-enabled with the ability to disable it
again via a configuration file if required
[Bug Fix] #14900 The URLs in the welcome emails sent to parents when they are
linked with child accounts was not being encoded correctly and looked wrong in
the email
[Bug Fix] #14890 Auto top-up requests were not being sent to My Monitor to
process if there were several within the space of a few minutes
[Bug Fix] #14884 When a parent’s My Monitor account was created due to being
linked to a child account in Supervisor Net, the terms and conditions flag
would be set to ‘Accepted’ automatically, rather than letting the parent
manually agree when they logged in for the first time
[Bug Fix] #14857 When using SIP prefixes, if you entered an existing account
number without the prefix, Supervisor Net would find the account but did not
correctly use the external interface when deciding whether or not to prompt for
a password
[Bug Fix] #13483 ‘Print Now’ print queue information could sometimes not be
saved for Web Print using the Print Administrator application

their home screen
[Change] #14825 The speed of the Manage Orders function has been greatly
improved when there are a large number of orders
[Change] #14747 Changing the pickup or delivery status on the order summary
screen was not always possible under certain circumstances, (Such as orders for
different days having different pickup/delivery requirements) so has been
disabled
[Bug Fix] #14960 When using ‘Open Shop’ on a mobile device, the login page
would appear after the welcome message instead of when the first item was added
to the cart
[Bug Fix] #14953 On a mobile device, if you had made it to the payment summary
screen, but it was now past the order cut off time, the application would still
allow you to proceed to My Monitor to complete payment instead of displaying an
error message
[Bug Fix] #14940 The welcome message on the login page was centered for iOS
devices but not for Android devices
[Bug Fix] #14923 Item ‘Sales Limit’ profiles were only being created by default
for the first shop. If other shops were added later on, there were no profiles
in the drop-down and no way to create them, so the sales limit feature couldn’t
be used for other shops

the ‘Reports’ section of the administrator interface would cause Supervisor Net
to malfunction

region, clicking the Pay button on the order summary screen would not do
anything
[Bug Fix] #14811 Blank email entries in the My Monitor ‘WebUser’ table were not
handed

entered a different password when prompted, the loading symbol would show
forever

an order would not work unless notes were also added to the order at the same
time
[Bug Fix] #14748 If you navigated to a shop group where it’s now too late in
the day to place an order for, the date at the top of the screen would go to
the next available day correctly, but then it glitched and changed back to the
current day. But you can’t place orders for the current day because it’s too
late in the day
[Bug Fix] #14742 When a user had no access to any shops, clicking the ‘Back’
button would display an error message
[Bug Fix] #14730 The shop group would be removed regardless if you accidentally
