MonitorIT UK

MonitorIT launches in the UK.

MonitorIT has recently launched in the UK, with a key business strategy of promoting the Monitor transactional database, Supervisor Net, as the gateway to achieving a cashless environment.

The education sector is of particular interest to MonitorIT. The cashless campus is high on the wish list of many the UK’s leading HE/FE organisations and the MonitorIT team have already seen encouraging levels of interest in the Monitor solution as a tool to facilitate this.

Some ‘quick wins’ have been gained as UK colleges now have to provide free meals to entitled students as part of new legislation that sees students now having to stay in education until the age of 18. One key element of the free meals quota has been discretion when allocating funds along with a desire for a simple electronic system that easily integrates into the colleges MIS to manage and report on free meals. Colleges could choose from a terminal based option or a full iPOS solution dependant on their needs. To date some 10 colleges have signed up and are now experiencing the power of the Monitor transactional database.

While most have opted for the simple MB20 solution Bradford College have been the first to choose a full iPOS solution consisting of Supervisor Net as their core student account database, 3 x touchscreen tills with receipt printers and cash drawers for their full service restaurant and 2 x MB20x terminals for a Cafe in another location.
