Hutt City CouncilHutt City Libraries to provide their patrons with a Monitor library solution.

Hutt City Libraries are moving towards a Monitor solution that will allow their customers to utilise their existing library card to pay for computer use as well as pay library fees and fines. Casual users will also be able to utilise the self-service kiosks at each of the sites to purchase casual user tickets allowing them to use the public computers. There is a mixture of AL7000 Interactive Kiosks and AL9000 Interactive Kiosks throughout the 8 branches.

Integrating to the Spydus Library Management System and using Monitor’s miniPOS solution on the AL7000 and AL9000 Interactive Kiosks, customers will have the ability to pay for fees and fines without staff involvement.

Monitor Hotspot will be used for managing the charging of internet use on the libraries’ existing 150 public PCs.

In the future, Hutt City Libraries are looking to implement Monitor’s My Reservation solution for booking computers, meeting rooms and equipment as well as Monitor’s Print Management solution.

The solution is expected to be installed by the end of August 2013.
