100+ Laundry unit system install at University of NSW

Recently at MonitorBM, we completed a huge install at the University of New South Wales with our new QR code laundry solution. This campus wide install of over 100 washers & dryers is now a full self-service and cash free solution for students.

This was a unique install, as it was the first large scale project of our new and improved QR code laundry system. Unique QR coded stickers were created by our team for every single machine on campus. The student simply can use their phone to scan said machine and activate it using their UNSW account. Kiosks around the campus, again fully branded, allow students to login and top-up their account using the attached Eftpos machine. They can also reload on their phones/computers via My Monitor, both in realtime.

What’s unique about the Laundry system is the no need for cabling and infrastructure, the system is connected via 4G Connectivity. Each laundry room has a 4G Router and each laundry machine a space saving Monitor laundry activator board installed. This being a seamless integration to any laundry space.

UNSW has been a long-time customer of MonitorBM Solutions and they were pleased they could further extend their services within the Monitor group to allow seamless integration to the students. Students on site already use their My Monitor Accounts for other things such as, printing and photocopying, library fees & fines, Monitor online ordering for their course materials and the 10+ kiosks around site to top-up and purchasing goods too. The staff at UNSW are also very impressed with our extensive reporting tools, integration to their finance system, GL code and receipting capabilities.

UNSW are a great example of our solutions being great for futureproofing and that we keep up with what our customers need out of our solutions. QR codes have become second nature in these recent times, and became a great use for our new and improved laundry system.
